In an effort to comply with the new government guidelines on physical distancing, Leucan is innovating and has decided to introduce a different version of the Leucan Mighty Challenge, presented by CRH Canada and its Demix divisions. Celebrate the 5th anniversary of the event virtually in October 2020!
The Challenge will begin on October 5 and end on Thursday, November 12 with a grand virtual gathering. The winners for best individual and team fundraiser, as well as the top 3 teams in the competition will be announced.
Build your team of 5 people, select a captain and raise a minimum of $555. Have your brains, your strength and your camera ready and take the Challenge.
Participants will receive a weekly training program created by professionals. The programs will be varied for the endurance, physical and mental strength events.
Each team member will be required to videotape his or her event and send the video to the Leucan team. The results will be compiled and announced in the weekly newsletter. This will promote healthy competition and allow teams to follow their progress.
Each team member will be required to videotape his or her event and send the video to the team captain. An evaluation grid will be provided for each event.
The team captain will be responsible for tallying the results using the evaluation grid and sending the 5 videos to the Leucan Montérégie team. The Leucan team will verify the results. Afterwards, all team results will be compiled and announced in the weekly newsletter. This will promote healthy competition and allow teams to follow their progress.

I’m consistently seeking additional challenges! We were the 2019 female Leucan Migthy Challenge winning team and it is with great pleasure that I would like to promote this event to other companies as an ambassador. This challenge gave us the opportunity to bond and unite as a team while performing our group trainings; pushing us to develop synergies between team members.
#teamworkmakesthedreamwork was our motto.
This challenge pushed us to surpass ourselves and blossom on an individual basis. I therefore strongly recommend for your team to embark on this great journey to help children. Register now !
Over the years, my personal and professional experiences have led me to understand the person I want to be for the people around me and how I want to contribute, both to my current employer and various organizations like LEUCAN through the Leucan Mighty Challenge. In my position at Pascan Aviation for the last 10 years, my role is to help, facilitate, find solutions, and guide people through team work, because WE ARE MUCH STRONGER as a team! I’m fortunate to have a beautiful and healthy family. Teaming up with the Mighty Challenge gang for a 5th consecutive year is not only inspiring, but also an opportunity for me to do what I like best: helping!
I’ve been a part of my family’s business for many years, starting my career as “Supervisor of the Stapler.” I scored the position at a young age because I was always eager to assist the team in filing and organizing documents. This inspired me to study in administration and to complete my training at the School of Entrepreneurship in Beauce. This experience gave me the opportunity to pursue various development activities and to get involved in several causes. More specifically, through the years, I’ve held various positions at Transport Bourassa including Customer Service Manager and currently, Fleet Director.
A group of colleagues and I assembled Team Bourassa to take on the Leucan Mighty Challenge in support of a cause we all respect deeply. This year, it’s an honour for me to join the Ambassadors Team. I’m taking this opportunity to encourage companies to build a team and come and confront us at the Challenge. This family event is fun for everyone!
I’m Director of Communications for CRH Canada where I’m also in charge of the fundraising campaign for our Materials Division in Quebec. Several CRH Canada employees are involved in Leucan on an individual basis. Over the last few years, their leadership inspired their colleagues to also take part in events organized by Leucan. CRH Canada entered a three-year support partnership with Leucan Montérégie to further encourage our employees in their philanthropic efforts. A native of Madagascar, I’m aware that in the event of life-threatening diseases, access to care and support services can become a luxury that few can afford. Supporting Leucan is an important commitment for me because the Association makes a real difference. As a young mom, I’m very honoured to represent my company and Leucan at the Leucan Mighty Challenge.
I’ve been President of Cogeca Construction Inc. since 2002, a company founded by my father in 1988. In 2014, we helped Mélodie, diagnosed with leukemia, and her family as part of On efface tout et on recommence, a TV show hosted by Chantale Lacroix. That’s when I became aware of Leucan and its needs.
In September 2017, I accepted the honorary chairmanship of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge in Place Longueuil. I put a price on my head to collect as many donations as possible for the cause.
I’ve always been an energetic and committed person. When I heard of the Leucan Mighty Challenge, I immediately assembled a team from Club One X One Boxing in Saint-Hubert, of which I became owner in 2017! I absolutely loved the experience! So, I’m pleased to get involved as an Ambassador in this Challenge. You will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the competition, not to mention all the fun activities for children available on site! Sign your team up today!
I’ve always been fond of athletics. Five years ago, I took the plunge and made physical activity my career. If at first, I was motivated by my passion for working out, it quickly became much more than a hobby for me. Not only do I enjoy it but it also gives my life meaning: to have a positive influence on people’s health. With passion and dedication, I built one of the most popular fitness centres in the Greater Montreal area. At the same time, I also developed an integrated management software used by many fitness centres in Canada.
It’s an honour for me to be an Ambassador of the Leucan Mighty Challenge benefiting cancer-stricken children. For a child, getting diagnosed with cancer must be a huge shock initially, followed by a long and winding road to recovery with impacts on every family member. Knowing that Leucan is there from the beginning and throughout the journey must be a great source of comfort for those families. So, I hope to rally as many people around this cause, which affects everyone of us, directly and indirectly.
