Gabriel Bélanger

In 2010, I was diagnosed with brain cancer. After several surgeries and radiation treatments, the doctors were able to remove the entire tumor in 2011.

In 2012, I pursued my studies at La Cité collégiale in Police Technology.

A year later, I was struck by a car. The paramedics expected my right leg to be amputated, but the doctor managed to save it.

In 2014, I started running again to get back in shape for the Police Tech physical. Unfortunately, on my third run, I broke my leg again.

After rehabilitation, I finally passed the final test and graduated in 2016!

Since 2017, I have been working as a commissionaire at Rideau Hall. I walk a lot, I’m into CrossFit and I’ve even run a half marathon!

Nothing is impossible, nothing is too difficult. Perseverance is stronger than anything. Join me in participating in the Leucan Mighty Challenge to help children with cancer.
